CARNEAL GOLDMAN

A sternwheel packet, the CARNEAL GOLDMAN was built in Jeffersonville for the Natchez-Vicksburg trade and ran three trips per week. She was named for a Louisiana cotton planter with large acreage in the Tensas Parish on the western shores of the Mississippi River. After several years of service she was retired to Madison, Indiana, where some of her machinery went into the ST. JOSEPH in 1893.
